1. How is the discount applied?
ALMA Edizioni applies a 15% discount on all purchases above 100.00 € made through our website. For orders above 200.00 €, in addition to the 15% discount, ALMA Edizioni offers free shipping for any destination, via post or courrier (whichever is the most convenient for ALMA Edizioni).
The videocourse (ALMA.tv premium) is NOT included in this offer.
Purchases made by users in Spain and Portugal are not included in this offer, as per agreements with the local distributors. The offer is not combinable with any other active promotions, unless otherwise stated.
2. How can I order more than one copy of an item?
If you wish to order multiple copies of a book, you can change the amount of the items from the shopping cart page. You just have to change the number in the "Quantity" and click "Recalculate".
3. How do I place an order?
In order to purchase an item click on the shopping cart icon that says “BUY”, in the top right corner of the page. Click on the shopping cart button to buy the item of your choice. Please notice that many books are available in different versions (e.g. with CD/DVD included). You can then check your shopping cart (just click on the "Shopping Cart" button at the top right, under the login area) and change the number of items you wish to buy, review the shipping costs and then either proceed with the purchase or cancel the order.
You can also order a book from the item’s details page. You can get there in two different ways:
a. in the right side menu, under “catalogue” you will find the age groups to which our books are dedicated; clicking on an entry you will access all related language courses; from this page you can select one of the language courses or choose another series or all titles from the selection menu in the upper right. You will then see a list of books accompanied by a brief description and the cover. Clicking on the cover will get you to the details page.
b. On all pages, under the catalogue menu, you will find the search box. Enter a word which is part of the title, or the name of the author. You will see a list of matching results. The list will be accompanied by a brief description of the book and its cover. Clicking on the cover will get you to the details page.
Once in the details page click on the shopping cart button to buy the item of your choice. Please notice that many books are available in different versions (e.g. with CD/DVD included). You will also be presented with a list of related books (exercise books, teacher’s guides etc.) that you can place in the shopping cart.
You will later have the chance to review your shopping cart (just click on the “shopping cart” button, under the login box) and change the number of items you wish to buy, review the shipping costs and then either proceed with the purchase or cancel the order.
4. Can I cancel an order?
You can cancel an order at any time and for any reason, before the payment has been confirmed, by sending an email to email@example.com, and using the word “cancellazione” as the subject of the email, together with the order number.
5. What are the payment methods?
You can pay for your orders with one of the following methods:
- Credit card
- Bank transfer
We accept the following credit cards: Mastercard, Visa, Diners and American Express.
If the transaction through credit card fails, click here to reinsert your credit card details and complete the payment, being careful to fill in the "Purpose of payment" field with your order number.
If you wish to pay by bank transfer you just have to click on “Bank Transfer” and you will be directed to a page containing the info you will need to make the transfer. In the “reason for payment” field you will have to enter the order number and the name of the purchaser. So if, for example, the purchase was made by Mario Rossi and the order number is web12345, you will have to write “payment order web12345 by Mario Rossi”.
6. How can I buy without using a credit card?
If you do not own a credit card, when asked to select the payment method, select “bank transfer”. The page will show our bank details. Make the payment entering enter the order number and the name of the purchaser in the “reason for payment” field. So if, for example, the purchase was made by Mario Rossi and the order number is web12345, you will have to write “payment order web12345 by Mario Rossi”.
7. Can I have the items shipped to an address different from mine?
Of course you can. When placing the order you will have to specify the shipping address, which does not have to be necessarily your address.
8. How many books can I purchase?
The system calculates costs for up to a weight of 30kg automatically. If the weight of the books you wish to purchase exceeds 30kg, you will be prompted to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org in order to receive a cost estimate. We will reply as soon as possible, informing you of the shipping costs and, should it be more convenient, providing you with the details of our local distributor.
9. What are the shipping costs and delivery time?
In order to know what the shipping costs are, you will have to add all the items you wish to purchase to the shopping cart and select a shipping method (regular mail or courier). The system will automatically calculate the shipping costs, and you will able to review them on the following page.
10. What can I do if I do not receive the shipment?
If the shipment method of your choice was the courier, and you have not received the order 10 working days after it was dispatched (and after you received confirmation by us), let us know with an email to email@example.com, and we will attempt to solve the problem. The time for the delivery of items via ordinary mail varies greatly, depending on the country of destination. If the shipment method of your choice was ordinary mail, and you have not received the order 15/20 working days after it was dispatched (and after you received confirmation by us), visit the nearest post office for further information.
In case of choice of shipment via Poste Italiane, ALMA Edizioni is not responsible in any way for the loss or the damage of the books, or for the delay in delivery. In these cases there is no refund of the paid sum or the reshipment of the books.
10. How can I purchase your ebooks?
